Whimsy, folk art for family fridges

Painted cottages, scalloped borders and a die-cut sticker the kids fight over. Whimsy is the brightest of the three styles, made for young families, first homes and anyone who still keeps a magnet collection.

A January letter in Whimsy

Written from a two-minute voice memo, set in the Whimsy type and signed by the agent.

January 2027

Happy New Year from my kitchen to yours.

January is when I finally swap the furnace filter I meant to change in November. If you're like me, this is your nudge: the filter, a test of the smoke and CO alarms, and a wrap on any pipes along an outside wall.

Then get out of the house. A sledding hill is at its best by ten on a snow day, a bowl of soup tastes better afterward, and the botanical garden stays warm and green on the coldest afternoon of the year.

The card in this envelope is yours to keep. Put it on the fridge, frame it, or pass it to someone who needs a little color this month.

If anyone you love is thinking about a move this year, I'd be glad to help.

Maggie
